Privacy Policy

This page explains what data Wandermarker may collect, why it is collected, and how you can reach us with questions.

What we collect

Wandermarker does not require an account to browse city maps, POIs, or route content, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information just to use the site.

We may receive limited technical information through hosting, analytics, and advertising services, such as device type, browser information, page views, referral source, and approximate region. We use that information to keep the site reliable, understand which guides are useful, and detect abuse.

Analytics and advertising

The site currently uses Vercel Analytics to understand page performance and may integrate advertising services such as Google AdSense. Those third parties may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies according to their own policies to measure performance, limit duplicate impressions, or serve contextually relevant ads.

We may also disable ads during content reviews or product changes. When that happens, ad scripts may not load, but standard hosting and analytics logs may still exist where required to operate the site.

Contact and corrections

If you contact us by email or social media, we keep the information you choose to send so that we can reply, handle corrections, or discuss partnerships.

If you want us to delete information related to a message you sent, contact us at findmapin@gmail.com

Third-party links and map data

Wandermarker links out to Google Maps, social platforms, and other third-party services. Once you leave this site, their privacy policies and data practices apply.

Map layers and baseline place information may rely on OpenStreetMap and other open-data sources. We try to attribute those sources clearly, but we do not receive your activity data from third-party sites just because we link to them.

Updates and scope

We may update this policy as our product, analytics setup, or advertising configuration changes. If you also want to understand how guides are selected and reviewed, see our Methodology page.
